Chalk It Pro, The Why?
In 2019, Nate Steele had been running gyms for nearly a decade. As the owner of CrossFit 630 since 2013, he lived the daily reality of managing programming, membership, scheduling, billing, and community engagement across a patchwork of tools that never quite worked together. The software that existed was either too expensive, too complicated, or built by people who had never stepped in front of the whiteboard.
Jose saw the same problem from the other side. With over 20 years of senior-level software development experience and more than a decade as a member at CrossFit 630, he understood what gym owners needed because he experienced the gaps firsthand as a member every single day.
The two shared a conviction: gym owners deserved better. Not a tool designed in a boardroom, but one built in the gym itself.
